Men\u00e9e dans le cadre d\u2019une convention cadre entre l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie et&nbsp;l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne, cette op\u00e9ration de deux jours porte sur la protection, la s\u00e9curisation et la restauration du patrimoine culturel, notamment les tombeaux royaux numides, dont celui d\u2019Imedghassen, situ\u00e9 dans la commune de Boumia \u00e0 30 km \u00e0 l\u2019Ouest de la wilaya de Batna. Sur les lieux, deux experts, de nationalit\u00e9 italienne, ont entam\u00e9 leur travail, au niveau de la base de la structure du mausol\u00e9e en pr\u00e9sence de repr\u00e9sentants locaux du secteur la culture et des arts, apr\u00e8s l\u2019ouverture de la pi\u00e8ce fun\u00e9raire, situ\u00e9e en contrebas du tombeau et la mobilisation des moyens n\u00e9cessaires devant&nbsp;faciliter l\u2019op\u00e9ration afin de conna\u00eetre l\u2019\u00e9tat actuel de la structure du monument.&nbsp;&nbsp;Cette expertise devra d\u00e9terminer la nature de l\u2019intervention \u00e0 effectuer afin de prot\u00e9ger et s\u00e9curiser ce monument.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Par ailleurs, il est utile de rappeler qu\u2019une \u00e9tude-diagnostic d\u00e9taill\u00e9e avait \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9e sur le monument, en deux \u00e9tapes, dans le cadre du programme de partenariat entre l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie et l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne. Soulignons que, cette initiative \u00e9tait inscrite dans le cadre du programme d\u2019appui et de valorisation du patrimoine culturel en Alg\u00e9rie financ\u00e9 par l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne Euro-Med adopt\u00e9 en novembre 2012. L\u2019initiative portait sur des actions de restauration de parties des trois sites arch\u00e9ologiques du mausol\u00e9e&nbsp;d\u2019Imedghassen (Batna), du&nbsp;Palais Ahmed Bey (Constantine) et la Casbah d\u2019Alger.
