Les cours du brut \u00e9voluaient hier sans direction pris en tenaille entre les craintes li\u00e9es aux tensions g\u00e9opolitiques au Moyen-Orient en raison de l\u2019agression barbare de l\u2019occupation sioniste sur la Bande de Ghaza, des perspective moroses et une hausse des stocks US. Les cours \u00e9taient ainsi orient\u00e9s \u00e0 la hausse le matin avant de reculer l\u00e9g\u00e8rement da,s l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi apr\u00e8s la publication des chiffres du d\u00e9partement am\u00e9ricain de l\u2019\u00e9nergie sur l\u2019\u00e9volution des stocks US de p\u00e9trole et de carburant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vers 15H20 GMT, le prix du baril de West Texas Intermediate (WTI) am\u00e9ricain pour livraison en d\u00e9cembre c\u00e9dait -0,93% \u00e0 82,74 dollars. Quant au baril de Brent de la mer du Nord, avec \u00e9ch\u00e9ance en d\u00e9cembre, il perdait -1,18% \u00e0 87,24 dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’Agence am\u00e9ricaine d’information sur l’\u00e9nergie (EIA) a indiqu\u00e9 hier que les stocks commerciaux am\u00e9ricains de p\u00e9trole brut, tout comme ceux d’essence, ont augment\u00e9 la semaine derni\u00e8re contrairement aux attentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces r\u00e9serves de brut, qui avaient fortement recul\u00e9 la semaine derni\u00e8re, se sont partiellement reconstitu\u00e9es pendant la semaine achev\u00e9e le 20 octobre, gonflant de 1,4 million de barils \u00e0 421,1 millions. Les analystes tablaient sur une baisse de 450.000 barils pour le p\u00e9trole brut, selon un consensus \u00e9tabli par l’agence Bloomberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les stocks d’essence ont eux aussi augment\u00e9 grimpant l\u00e9g\u00e8rement de 200.000 barils alors qu’ils \u00e9taient attendus en repli de 1,2 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les cours restent soutenus par les risques g\u00e9opolitiques, mais cette emprise commence \u00e0 laisser le pas aux indicateurs \u00e9conomique.  \u00ab\u00a0Le point crucial reste qu’il n’y a pas eu d’interruption de l’approvisionnement en p\u00e9trole du Moyen-Orient\u00a0\u00bbsouligne Stephen Innes, analyste chez SPI AM. Le risque g\u00e9opolitique a ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9clips\u00e9 par des donn\u00e9es macro-\u00e9conomiques illustrant un contexte \u00e9conomique morose, poursuit M. Evans. La veille, les cours de l’or noir ont en effet perdu du terrain face aux pr\u00e9occupations du march\u00e9 quant \u00e0 l’\u00e9tat de l’\u00e9conomie mondiale apr\u00e8s une s\u00e9rie d’indicateurs d’activit\u00e9 PMI d\u00e9cevants, en particulier en Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’activit\u00e9 du secteur priv\u00e9 a subi en octobre son plus fort recul en trois ans dans la zone euro, signalant un risque de r\u00e9cession au deuxi\u00e8me semestre, selon l’indice PMI Flash publi\u00e9 mardi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
