\u00ab\u00a0<\/strong>Une r\u00e9trospective artistique d’exception a ouvert ses portes lundi dernier au si\u00e8ge de l’Assembl\u00e9e populaire nationale (APN) \u00e0 Alger, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l’\u0153uvre remarquable d’un artiste belge profond\u00e9ment \u00e9pris de l’Alg\u00e9rie.  Intitul\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Le patrimoine culturel alg\u00e9rien \u00e0 travers un regard belge\u00a0\u00bb, cette exposition pr\u00e9sente une quarantaine de reproductions d’\u0153uvres d’Edouard Verschaffelt, peintre orientaliste belge qui v\u00e9cut \u00e0 Boussa\u00e2da de 1919 jusqu’\u00e0 sa mort en 1955.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement culturel majeur, visible jusqu’au 17 avril, s’inscrit parfaitement dans le cadre du mois du patrimoine (18 avril-18 mai) et t\u00e9moigne des liens historiques et culturels \u00e9troits entre l’Alg\u00e9rie et la Belgique. La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d’inauguration s’est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e en pr\u00e9sence de nombreuses personnalit\u00e9s de marque, dont le pr\u00e9sident de l’APN, M. Brahim Boughali, le ministre de la Culture et des Arts, M. Zouhir Ballalou, l’ambassadeur du Royaume de Belgique, M. Jean Jacques Quairiat, ainsi que la fille m\u00eame de l’artiste, Mme Samia Madeleine Verschaffelt, conf\u00e9rant une dimension \u00e9motionnelle particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement. Cette exposition, d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 Boussa\u00e2da puis \u00e0 Alger en 2022, est organis\u00e9e cette fois-ci conjointement par l’APN et l’ambassade du Royaume de Belgique, soulignant l’importance accord\u00e9e \u00e0 ce patrimoine artistique partag\u00e9. Les \u0153uvres expos\u00e9es d\u00e9voilent un artiste profond\u00e9ment immerg\u00e9 dans la culture alg\u00e9rienne, capturant avec sensibilit\u00e9 et respect les sc\u00e8nes de vie quotidienne, les paysages envo\u00fbtants et les portraits intimes qui t\u00e9moignent de son attachement sinc\u00e8re \u00e0 sa terre d’adoption. Lors de son discours inaugural, le pr\u00e9sident de l’APN a soulign\u00e9 l’importance de cette initiative culturelle en d\u00e9clarant : \u00ab\u00a0l’Alg\u00e9rie a inspir\u00e9 nombre d’artistes-plasticiens \u00e9trangers de renomm\u00e9e internationale, \u00e0 l’image du c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Pablo Picasso ou encore Etienne Nassreddine Dinet et Edouard Verschaffelt\u00a0\u00bb. M. Boughali a \u00e9galement rappel\u00e9 la \u00ab\u00a0ferme volont\u00e9 de l’Alg\u00e9rie \u00e0 promouvoir la richesse de ses acquis culturels pluriels et la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de sensibiliser \u00e0 leur valorisation et leur pr\u00e9servation, afin de consacrer la culture, l’histoire et l’identit\u00e9 de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 alg\u00e9rienne\u00a0\u00bb. Le ministre de la Culture et des Arts, M. Ballalou, a quant \u00e0 lui qualifi\u00e9 cette exposition d'\u00a0\u00bbexceptionnelle\u00a0\u00bb, estimant qu’elle \u00ab\u00a0c\u00e9l\u00e8bre une partie de la m\u00e9moire commune entre l’Alg\u00e9rie et le Royaume de Belgique\u00a0\u00bb et repr\u00e9sente \u00ab\u00a0le couronnement d’un parcours coop\u00e9ratif et artistique d’exception entre les deux pays\u00a0\u00bb. Dans un geste symbolique fort, l’ambassadeur du Royaume de Belgique en Alg\u00e9rie a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu'\u00a0\u00bb\u00e0 travers cette initiative, nous rendons hommage \u00e0 un homme dont le parcours personnel et artistique illustre avec \u00e9motion la richesse du dialogue entre nos deux pays\u00a0\u00bb. Verschaffelt n’\u00e9tait pas simplement un observateur ext\u00e9rieur, mais un v\u00e9ritable passeur culturel qui s’est int\u00e9gr\u00e9 profond\u00e9ment dans la communaut\u00e9 de Boussa\u00e2da. Son regard, empreint de respect et d’admiration pour la culture locale, se refl\u00e8te dans chacune de ses \u0153uvres, qu’il s’agisse de sc\u00e8nes de vie paysanne, de portraits aux regards innocents ou de paysages printaniers de l’Alg\u00e9rie. La diversit\u00e9 des tableaux expos\u00e9s illustre parfaitement les \u00ab\u00a0liens de c\u0153ur\u00a0\u00bb qui unissaient l’artiste \u00e0 cette terre qui l’a accueilli pendant plus de trois d\u00e9cennies. Particuli\u00e8rement touchantes sont les peintures intimistes familiales et les portraits, notamment ceux repr\u00e9sentant sa femme et sa fille, t\u00e9moignant d’une vie pleinement v\u00e9cue en Alg\u00e9rie. Ces \u0153uvres, dispers\u00e9es aujourd’hui dans plusieurs collections priv\u00e9es et des mus\u00e9es en Alg\u00e9rie, en Belgique et en France, constituent un tr\u00e9sor culturel partag\u00e9 entre les deux nations. La pr\u00e9sence de nombreux repr\u00e9sentants diplomatiques, de directeurs de mus\u00e9es, de d\u00e9put\u00e9s et d’\u00e9tudiants de l’\u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure des beaux-arts d’Alger \u00e0 cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement souligne l’importance accord\u00e9e \u00e0 ce dialogue interculturel \u00e0 travers l’art. Cette exposition appara\u00eet ainsi comme un pont temporel et spatial entre deux cultures, rappelant que l’art transcende les fronti\u00e8res et peut cr\u00e9er des liens durables entre les peuples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
