P\u00e9trole<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9volu\u00e9 en dents de scie durant toute la semaine, les cours du baril de brut ont termin\u00e9 la semaine de cotation sur une petite note positive. En effet, les prix du p\u00e9trole ont repris des couleurs vendredi, partiellement aid\u00e9s par un dollar plus faible et par la baisse des stocks am\u00e9ricains. N\u00e9anmoins, l’absence d’accord au sein de l’Organisation des pays exportateurs de p\u00e9trole et de leurs alli\u00e9s (Opep+) alimente l\u2019inqui\u00e9tude sur les march\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le baril de Brent de la mer du Nord pour livraison en septembre a fini en hausse de 1,92% ou 1,43 dollar \u00e0 Londres, par rapport \u00e0 la cl\u00f4ture de la veille, \u00e0 75,55 dollars. A New York, le baril de WTI pour ao\u00fbt a lui aussi termin\u00e9 en progr\u00e8s de 2,22% ou 1,62 dollars \u00e0 74,56 dollars. Le plongeon des stocks de brut de 6,9 millions de barils (MB), \u00e0 445,5 MB, pour la semaine close le 2 juillet, selon le rapport hebdomadaire de l’Agence am\u00e9ricaine d’information sur l’Energie (EIA), a soutenu les cours depuis jeudi. \u00ab\u00a0Le march\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 notamment impressionn\u00e9 par la demande d’essence qui a affich\u00e9 un record hebdomadaire\u00a0\u00bb, a soulign\u00e9 pour l’AFP Andrew Lebow de Commodity Research Group, alors que les Am\u00e9ricains s’appr\u00eataient \u00e0 prendre les routes pour le week-end prolong\u00e9 de la f\u00eate nationale du 4 juillet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mais si cette preuve d’une forte demande du premier consommateur mondial de p\u00e9trole a un peu consol\u00e9 les investisseurs, le cours de l’or noir a n\u00e9anmoins enregistr\u00e9 son premier repli hebdomadaire depuis fin mai (-0,70% pour le Brent et -0,72% pour le WTI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le march\u00e9 est affect\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0par la crainte que les grands producteurs pompent au-dessus de leurs quotas en raison des probl\u00e8mes qui plombent l’OPEP+\u00a0\u00bb, explique Sukrit Vijayakar, analyste chez Trifecta Consultants. Les meneurs de l’alliance de producteurs, l’Arabie saoudite et la Russie, avaient propos\u00e9 d’ouvrir l\u00e9g\u00e8rement les vannes pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande montante alors que l’\u00e9conomie mondiale red\u00e9marre apr\u00e8s la pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19. Mais les Emirats arabes unis ont demand\u00e9 \u00e0 revoir \u00e0 la hausse leur niveau de production de base, pour pouvoir pomper encore plus, et les 23 pays de l’OPEP+ ont annul\u00e9 leur r\u00e9union en d\u00e9but de semaine. \u00ab\u00a0Le march\u00e9 ne fait qu’attendre les r\u00e9sultats des n\u00e9gociations entre la Russie, les Emirats et l’Arabie saoudite afin d’\u00e9valuer ce que sera l’offre dans quelques mois. Pour l’instant, il ne fait que deviner\u00a0\u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 M. Lebow. L’incertitude r\u00e8gne: en l’absence d’accord, les producteurs pourraient soit s’en tenir \u00e0 leurs niveaux de production actuelle, quitte \u00e0 assoiffer leurs acheteurs, soit se mener une guerre des prix en produisant autant que possible, ce qui risque d’inonder le march\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0En attendant, les cours sont port\u00e9s par des forces ext\u00e9rieures plut\u00f4t que par des fondamentaux. Le repli du dollar est un facteur, le rebond des actions vendredi en est un autre, mais ce que les courtiers attendent c’est ce que va faire l’OPEP\u00a0\u00bb, a encore indiqu\u00e9 l’expert de Commodity Research Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
