La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d&rsquo;ouverture s&rsquo;est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e au Th\u00e9\u00e2tre national alg\u00e9rien Mahieddine-Bachtarzi (TNA), sous la pr\u00e9sidence du ministre de l&rsquo;Enseignement sup\u00e9rieur et de la Recherche scientifique, Kamel Baddari. Il \u00e9tait entour\u00e9, pour l&rsquo;occasion, du directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Afrique au minist\u00e8re des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, de la Communaut\u00e9 nationale \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tranger et des Affaires africaines, Boualem Chebihi, ainsi que de la secr\u00e9taire d&rsquo;Etat aupr\u00e8s du ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res charg\u00e9e des Affaires africaines, Selma Bakhta Mansouri. Plusieurs ambassadeurs accr\u00e9dit\u00e9s en Alg\u00e9rie, des directeurs d&rsquo;instituts et d&rsquo;universit\u00e9s alg\u00e9riens, des \u00e9tudiants et les d\u00e9l\u00e9gations participantes ont \u00e9galement pris part \u00e0 cette soir\u00e9e inaugurale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plac\u00e9e sous le slogan \u00ab L&rsquo;Afrique se rencontre sur la sc\u00e8ne du th\u00e9\u00e2tre universitaire \u00bb, cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition propose une programmation dense m\u00ealant pi\u00e8ces en comp\u00e9tition officielle, spectacles hors comp\u00e9tition et repr\u00e9sentations de th\u00e9\u00e2tre de rue. Des \u00e9tablissements universitaires issus de 16 pays du continent y prennent part, parmi lesquels la Mauritanie, le Mozambique, la Tunisie et le Sahara occidental, confirmant la vocation continentale que les organisateurs entendent donner \u00e0 ce rendez-vous naissant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au-del\u00e0 des repr\u00e9sentations sc\u00e9niques, le commissariat du Festival a mis en place un concours universitaire africain du \u00ab meilleur texte th\u00e9\u00e2tral \u00bb, destin\u00e9 \u00e0 encourager l&rsquo;\u00e9criture dramaturgique chez les jeunes cr\u00e9ateurs du continent. Cette comp\u00e9tition sera accompagn\u00e9e d&rsquo;un colloque international consacr\u00e9 au th\u00e9\u00e2tre africain, organis\u00e9 par l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 d&rsquo;Alger 2, qui doit permettre aux chercheurs et praticiens participants de croiser leurs regards sur les enjeux esth\u00e9tiques et identitaires de cet art sur le continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon les organisateurs, ce Festival vise \u00e0 \u00ab unir la jeunesse africaine qui croit au th\u00e9\u00e2tre en tant qu&rsquo;art rassemblant la diversit\u00e9 et la richesse du continent au sein de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 en tant qu&rsquo;incubateur de la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 de la jeunesse africaine \u00bb. Une ambition qui d\u00e9passe le seul cadre artistique : cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement culturel est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme le reflet de \u00ab la d\u00e9termination de l&rsquo;Alg\u00e9rie \u00e0 consacrer sa dimension africaine \u00e0 travers le th\u00e9\u00e2tre universitaire, en ouvrant une fen\u00eatre sur le patrimoine culturel, artistique et litt\u00e9raire africain, et en offrant une opportunit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9change entre les jeunes universitaires talentueux et cr\u00e9atifs du continent \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les autorit\u00e9s affichent ainsi la volont\u00e9 de conjuguer diplomatie culturelle et politique universitaire, dans un contexte o\u00f9 Alger multiplie les initiatives visant \u00e0 consolider ses liens avec le continent africain, tant sur le plan institutionnel qu&rsquo;estudiantin. La pr\u00e9sence, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du ministre de l&rsquo;Enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, de hauts responsables du minist\u00e8re des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res en charge des dossiers africains illustre du reste la dimension diplomatique que rev\u00eat cette manifestation, con\u00e7ue comme un espace de rencontre entre les jeunesses universitaires du continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durant une semaine, la sc\u00e8ne du TNA et d&rsquo;autres espaces d\u00e9di\u00e9s au th\u00e9\u00e2tre de rue accueilleront ainsi les troupes universitaires africaines, appel\u00e9es \u00e0 se mesurer dans un esprit de comp\u00e9tition mais aussi d&rsquo;\u00e9change, avant que ne soient d\u00e9voil\u00e9s, au terme du Festival, le palmar\u00e8s de la comp\u00e9tition officielle ainsi que le laur\u00e9at du concours du meilleur texte th\u00e9\u00e2tral. Les organisateurs esp\u00e8rent faire de cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition le point de d\u00e9part d&rsquo;un rendez-vous annuel appel\u00e9 \u00e0 s&rsquo;installer durablement dans le paysage
